Cooperation or Competition: Does Game Theory Have Relevance for Public Health?

Abstrakt: The article presents a study which uses game theory to understand decisions to cooperate or to compete in the delivery of public health services. It is stated that health care is a quasi-public good yet it is being operated in an increasingly competitive environment. It is commented that there is mounting health care regulation and changes in privatization. It is opined that health care industry should recognize the roles of cooperation and competition.
