Abstrakt: This paper investigates the development of secondary education in the Franco period. The regime reorganized Spanish schools by dismantling the vestiges of the previous era and imbuing the education system with a totalitarian component -- synthesis of the conjunction between state nationalism and religious power -- aimed at educating elites and future leaders of the Spanish nation according to new ideological principles, as well as controlling socialization processes of the young generation as a whole.
