Abstrakt: The article discusses vividness of language heard in the radio commentaries of commentators which include Edward R. Murrow, Fulton Lewis, Jr., and Lowell Thomas. Murrow's reporting is broken into two parts namely reporting and editorial, and he rarely use colorful adjectives. It states that Lewis does not depend on figures of speech and regularly uses trite cliches. The verbs and adjectives used by Thomas are said to be more definite, less whimsical, and more violent.
