Abstrakt: The article discusses case studies of early American romances including "Wieland," by Charles Brockden Brown, "Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon," by Washington Irving and "Last of the Mohicans," by James Fenimore Cooper. It considers these American literature as a liberal development theory or the essence of American social and political development. It also believes that these narratives dispute the opinion that premodern, social and political feudal concepts never existed in the U.S.
