Abstrakt: The article examines urban identity and the Old Jewry in Ben Jonson's play "Every Man in His Humour." It was noted that Jonson has set much of the action in the play in the old Jewish quarter of the city of London, England. Critics including Darryll Grantley argued, however, that Jonson exploited his audience's knowledge of the setting to create a moralized geography by moving the action to the city. Also noted is the antisemitism inferred from location in Old Jewry of the character Kitely.
