Linking Texts in Italian Culture and Language Teaching: An Australian and a US Perspective.

Abstrakt: The article discusses the study which aims to design methodologies for a language and culture curriculum at lower level Italian program based on the American and Australian perspective. It explores the linking of texts in the areas of environments, text and culture, language and culture, and authenticity. It reveals that the language teaching at Emory University addresses the need to understand culture and languages for a meaningful teaching aligned with the missions in higher education.
