Optimal Generators Company Bidding Strategy in Power Market Using Group Search Optimizer Method.

Abstrakt: In this paper, optimal bidding strategies for a power producer has been studied. The main purpose is to increase the benefits of the power producer on a period of 24 hours. Also, the physical constraints of the generator are included in problem definition. Generator bidding is proposed to the market in three steps. The group optimizer algorithm is utilized to solve the problem. All the constraints of the problem are included in the algorithm using the penalty factors. Market price is assumed as a random variable with normal distribution and the standard deviation. Finally, simulation results show the significant impact of the optimal bidding strategy on benefits of the electricity producer during 24 hours. The results also show that the bidding steps are close to the average market price. This show the affected bidding price from the average determined market price. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
