The article discusses the issues for the U.S. Congress regarding the modernization of China's naval forces and how the U.S. could counter this growing military force. These issues include whether the U.S. Navy will be large enough to adequately counter Chinese maritime anti-access forces in the future. A second issue concerns whether the U.S. in response to China's naval capabilities, should shift to a more distributed fleet architecture. |
