The article explores roles that may be played by the U.S. Congress in adapting foreign policy to new conditions in the Middle East concerning many issues, including regional security, as of 2012. It presents an overview of American responses to change in the region under the administration of President Barack Obama. Also raised are questions that may contribute to consideration of policy choices and evaluation of administration and non-governmental proposals. |
