The reflection of sound pulses from corrugated surfaces has been a problem of interest in architectural acoustics for some time. This problem has been examined by simulating the process on a digital computer. The simulation has been carried out in such a manner that the reflected pulse can be obtained from the computer in analog form, so that the pulses can be listened to. Recordings of the direct and reflected pulses are presented, so that the effects of the reflection process can be demonstrated audibly for a variety of geometries, pulse lengths, frequencies, and reflecting surfaces.
