A country report for Denmark as of February 2012 is presented. There is a need for Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt to address the diverging views on key issues within her coalition. It expects debate over major labour market and tax reforms to serve as a test for the cohesion of the coalition government until the 2015 election. For 2012, the budget deficit is projected to widen to five percent of gross domestic product (GDP), while real GDP growth is expected to decelerate. |
