The article discusses the place of social entrepreneurship in the business schools, and examines its origin, evolution, and use in the academy. It suggests a conceptualization of social entrepreneurship that would determine it in the curriculum rather than limiting it to one discipline. Also, social entrepreneurship first entered in business school programs and later gravitated towards business-oriented conceptualizations that stressed management skills, revenue production, and profit motives. |
