| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the 1976 film "The Tenant," directed by Roman Polanski. The author argues that the film is not simply the story of a man who gradually loses his sanity. Rather, he claims the film shows how a visible psychological breakdown is linked to and caused by the less visible threats of social repression, social ranking, implied guilt and veiled discrimination. |
