The author discusses the Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) of Victoria that ran a campaign for emulation of the successful campaign of their Victorian comrades. Nurses won the campaign and got a pay rise, improved night duty penalty rates and working hour shifts. The author believes that in the end it is the safety and care of the patients as well as job satisfaction for the nurses that matters. |
