| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the foreign policy of Turkey in relation to matters of U.S. interest. The author explains that Turkey exercises considerable influence in the region with its military, economic, and political power, as well as its status as an established Muslim-majority democracy and as a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). According to the author, a greater openness to support U.S. and NATO goals in the region was shown by Turkey in 2011-2012. |
