Abstrakt: The angle dependent phase shift formalism for a permanently deformed target is generalized to include the excitation of vibrational states. In this extension, the S-matrix depends on the intrinsic angle describing the deformed surface as well as on the amplitude of the vibration. Numerical examples are given. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
