The article investigates textile waste in Tirupur, India. The authors reveal that inadequate data hinders the regeneration of textile waste in the area. They report that some of the problems encountered by Tirupur in relation to textile waste include damage to the environment and human health, scarcity in landfill spaces and increasing costs in the use and replacement of landfills. They emphasize the need to use appropriate technology to recycle, regenerate and recover textile waste. |
