| Abstrakt: |
The propagation of long-range plasmons on a rippled metal film embedded in an insulator is studied. It is shown that the ripple of the film leads to the appearance of additional dissipative losses of these plasmons. It is established that these additional losses are caused by resonant coupling between long-range and short-range plasmons produced by the ripple of the film. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
