Orientation of the magnetic moments of the particles of a highly magnetic phase in a magnetically hard Fe-Co-Ni-Al alloy (YuN 15DK25BA grade) was studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy. The results indicate that the magnetic moments, instead of being oriented along the axes of anisotropy of the particles, fluctuate with an average amplitude of Θ = 45° and a characteristic time τ[sub s] ≈ 6 × 10[sup -9] s relative to these axes.
