Inclusive ϕ-meson production has been measured for 100 GeV/c K, $$\bar p$$ and p incident on a Be target. Differential cross sections dσ/ dx and dσ/ dp are presented in the interval 0.075< x<0.225 and 0< p<1 GeV/c respectively. The shape of the dσ/ dx distributions agrees with predictions from a quark fusion model. Comparison with cross sections measured on a hydrogen target in the same x and p range suggest a linear A-dependence from A=1 to A=9. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
