An essay is presented on the beginning of the career of Bronislava Nijinska as a ballet teacher and choreographer in revolutionary Russia. It states that Nijinska embodied the cosmopolitanism of the city of Kiev, Ukraine and planned a project which is a form of collaborative art. It mentions that Nijinska founded the School of Movement on February 10, 1919, her studio named after the title of her 1918 treatise which offers classes that would develop modern and well-rounded dancers. |
