Immune deposits have been detected in vessel walls of forearm normal skin of patients with essential mixed cryoglobulinemia. No inflammatory cells were present around the vessel walls. These findings suggest that simple deposition of immune complexes is not sufficient to trigger an inflammatory reaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
