Abstrakt: Eleven patients with metastatic disease of the spine underwent anterior resection and stabilization with a new cancellous metal, keystone-shaped construct. Three are alive 1 year following surgery and seven at 6 months. One patient died postoperatively of pulmonary insufficiency. Ambulation was improved in all survivers.
