The introduction into ceramics in the AlO-ZrO (YO) system of dispersion-strengthening additives in the form of TiN facilitates an increase in the cracking resistance and high-temperature strength, and hence leads to an expansion of the range of working temperatures for the ceramics. The mechanical properties of the ceramics in a wide temperature range during heating in oxidizing atmospheres must be examined in relation to the processes of oxidation with the corresponding changes in the phase compositional, the structural and stressed conditions.
