The use of magnesia guncrete compounds for all-round guncreting leads to an increase in the consumption of refractory materials. Using flame guncreting they can be replaced by slag-forming materials, e.g., lime. The lime coatings are well sintered and serve well in the converters. The sintering of the particles of lime is done on the liquid phase on account of the solution in it of lime, and subsequent hardening at high temperature during guncreting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
