The Pervouralsk dinas factory has put into operation a 243-m tunnel kiln with a hydraulic valve. Setting methods, temperature, and hydraulic schedules have been developed, and we have mastered the firing of dinas products weighing up to 70 kg. Recommendations are being worked out to eliminate shortcomings and improve the cost-benefit indices for the operation of the kiln and the quality of the goods. The savings from firing articles in the tunnel kiln merely as a result of the reduction in production costs (compared with periodic kilns) is more than 300,000 rubles a year. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
