Abstrakt: A method was developed for the mechanized extraction of metallic iron from fine-ground zircon with an acid. The method is based on a continuous process in which the powder is treated with sulfuric acid followed by filtration and washing on an FPAKM-2.5NP automated filter press. The mechanized method of purification can be recommended for other high-refractoriness oxides and compounds in conjunction with the use of a suitable flocculant. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
