The optimal degree of wetting of a refractory material for the purpose of dust control should be decided with reference to the fineness of the powder and the equipment used. The productivity of the tube mills can be increased and dust emission into the ambient medium almost entirely prevented by including the pneumatic classifier developed by the Ukrainian Institute of Refractories in the flow sheet for the preparation of the powders.
