Abstrakt: The specialized tunnel kiln for firing kaolin insulating brick with an apparent density of 1.3 g/cm using combustible additive (thermo-anthracite) ensures the production of refractories of excellent quality using the normally employed production technology. The kiln consists of three zones: thermo-anthracite combustion section, sintering, and cooling. The zones of the kiln and the kiln as a whole are easily regulated in order to obtain the prescribed heat-engineering parameters for operating the kiln, as required for firing insulating products. The main regulation factor of the heating cycle and the kiln output is the time required for burning the additives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
