Strengthening of extracted complexes with butyl acetate occurs with increasing phenol acidity. The stepwise formation constant of the disolvate from the monosolvate increases to a greater extent than the formation constant of the monosolvate, which leads to a change in the stoichiometry of the solvates formed.
