The conformational composition of vinyl sulfides of nitrogen-containing heterocycles is not uniform. 3-Vinylthio-1,2,4-triazole, 2-vinylthiopyrimidine, 2-vinylthioquinoline, and 8-vinylthioquinoline exist mainly in the S-trans form, while for 3-vinylthioindoles and 5-vinylthioquinoline the S-trans form is not typical.
