Abstrakt: The article presents a study which adds a dimension to the literature on pre-service science teaching efficacy in the U.S. It mentions that the teachers' sense of efficacy is a significant indicator of effective teachers and this efficacy has to two dimensions, self-efficacy and outcome expectancy. It also provides data which compare the science teaching efficacy of science major and non-science majors in the general student population.
