Abstrakt:	Attempts to uncover the reasons why Jason Compson IV, the comic villain of William Faulkner's novel 'The Sound and the Fury,' hates baseball player Babe Ruth, by comparing the life situations in April 1928 of Ruth and Jason. Paragraphs that show Jason's antipathy towards Ruth; Points of extreme contrast between Jason and Ruth's personal circumstances; Jason's obsessive contempt for blacks, among whom Ruth was once wrongly counted.
