Provides information on a study which demonstrated the feasibility of developing genome-wide maps of linkage disequilibrium (LD) along the complete sequence of human chromosome 22. Implication of DNA sequence variants in specific genes of the human genome; Correlation between high LD and low recombination frequency in the extant genetic map; Effect of characterizing the empirical patterns of LD across the genome. |
