Abstrakt: The hyperfine structure of the groundstate 6 s S and the nuclear magnetic dipole moment of gold 197 have been studied by the atomic beam magnetic resonance technique. A special high frequency arrangement is described. The hyperfine structure separation Δ v was determined from ΔF=1 transitions. The magnetic dipole moment μ was measured by a direct method. The experiments yield the following results: Δv (S)=(6099,309±0,010) Mc/sec μ (Au)=+(0,1445±0,0014) μ. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
