Abstrakt: The article presents the study which examined the relationship between age at diagnosis and breast cancer outcome in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. The study was conducted in patients enrolled in the Tamoxifen Exemestane Adjuvant Multinational (TEAM) randomized clinical trial. Patients in several countries including the Netherlands, Ireland and the U.S. participated in the study. It claims that breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer incidence and mortality around the world.
