Abstrakt: | The article reports on research on sugar beet being conducted by Agricultural Research Service (ARS) scientists in Kimberly, Idaho which are said to be beneficial for sugar beet producers. The scientists are helping producers to increase yields, protect the crop from disease and raise profits. Plant pathologist Carl Strausbaugh and molecular biologist Imad Eujayl have studied the root disease called rhizomania. A set of genetic markers for beet curly top virus was developed by the scientists. |
