Abstrakt: |
The results of an experimental and theoretical study on the failure of nickel specimens during impact have been presented. For the numerical analysis a model was used which assumes the formation of pores in the matrix which subsequently grow under the influence of stress. Using experimental data taken from the nickel damage, the parameters which were used in the model were determined. The numerical study was completed and a number of the processes by which damage accumulates were outlined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
