Abstrakt: Myelin isolated from the sciatic nerves of chicks by centrifugation on a discontinuous sucrose gradient was found to undergo marked changes in lipid composition during development from the 18 day embryonic to the adult stage, particularly in the phospholipid and cerebroside content.
