OF 31 patients with acute non-lymphocytic leukaemia, 30 have had adequate treatment to date. Of these, 13 (43 per cent) developed full remission and five (17 per cent) a partial remission on a combination of vincristine, cytosine arabinoside and daunorubicin. Two of seven patients with blast crisis (acute on chronic myeloid leukaemia) went into remission with the same treatment. The quality of remission and survival is such to make us feel that this combination has a place in the management of acute non-lymphocytic leukaemia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
