Abstrakt: Examines the tumor necrosis factor-α pathway of apoptosis induction in myofibroblasts compared with its antiapoptotic effect in activated hepatic stellate cells (HSC). Role of the activation of HSC in liver tissue repair and in development of liver fibrosis; Occurrence of spontaneous and induced apoptosis in HSC and rat liver myofibroblasts (rMF); Characterization of rMF and HSC isolations.
