Abstrakt: The indications and operative technique for high thoracic sympathectomy by the transaxillary approach are demonstrated. The late results and complications are referred to in a retrospective analysis of 159 patients on whom 193 sympathectomies have been performed over the last 15 years for peripheral vascular occlusive disease, vasospastic diseases such as Raynaud's phenomenon, and hyperhidrosis of the upper extremity.
