Abstrakt: The in vivo responses of Agaricus bisporus and its pathogen, Verticillium fungicola, were examined to sixteen fungicides. Four of the compounds, benodanil, carboxin, imazalil and tridemorph were found to inhibit the growth of both organisms. These fungicides have previously been shown to limit the disease in vivo and therefore are good candidates for use in a novel breeding strategy based on induced fungicide resistance.
