Abstrakt:	The article announces that the revised federal regulations pertaining to research conflicts of interest (COI) are set to be implemented by August 24, 2012. It also discusses the implications of these new regulations on research institutions in order to noncompliance with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Also cited are comments by John R. Baumann, executive director, research ethics, education, and policy, office of research administration at Indiana University.
