Abstrakt: | Adsorption properties for the fowl plague virus have been tested with red blood cells and with negatively or positively charged compounds bound to agarose beads. It was found, that all anions or cations tested could adsorb the virus effectively, provided that the charges are sufficiently accessible to the virus. The results showed that electrostatic attraction is the principal functioning mechanism in the adsorption of influenza virus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
