Further investigation on triazine-compounds led us to considerably more phytotoxic compounds than 2-chloro-4, 6-bis-(diethyl-amino)-s-triazine (G 25804), three of which were field-tested. 2-chloro-4, 6-bis-(ethyl-amino)-s-triazine (G 27692) showed a particularly good herbicidal activity and a considerable tolerance versus corn and cotton. From these preliminary tests G 27692 seems to be a promising overall toxic as well as a selective pre-and post-emergence herbicide for corn and cotton. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
