Abstrakt: The dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is a power electronic based device that is used to boost the voltage supplied to the sensitive loads during voltage sags. A DVR consists of an energy storage unit, a voltage source converter, a filter, a coupling transformer and finally the controller system. From its first unit installed in 1996, several configurations, compensation strategies and controllers have been presented in literature, aiming at fast response, accurate compensation and low costs. In this paper, a literature review is presented scanning the most important contributions in this topic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
