The article discusses the use of multi-detector row computed tomography (CT) (MDCT) in thoracic imaging. It states that high-concentration contrast medium is recommended for MDCT of the thoracic vessels and aorta as it is important to reach a high degree of iodine quickly. It says that the advantages of MDCT over single-detector helical CT include motion artifact suppression, shorter imaging time, and higher axial spatial resolution. |
