Abstrakt: The article discusses the role of platelet-rich fibrin matrix augmentation in enhancing shoulder function in patients with arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery. It informs that randomized and controlled trials were conducted with 20.2-months follow-up studies. It was found in the trials that augmentation with autologous platelet-rich fibrin matrix did not improve shoulder function than nonaugmented repair. A chart depicting constant score augmentation and no augmentation is also presented.
