Abstrakt: The article discusses the 2004 Basel Accord (Basel II) which allows banks in the U.S. to make statistical models in measuring the quantity of their bank capital requirements. It mentions several participants of the Basel II framework through the Consolidated Supervised Entity (CSE) program including Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, and Morgan Stanley which are banks in the country. It also discusses bankruptcy, bank capital, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
